This solo/pas de deux between a human and a robot takes shape on Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht, in the research of a proximity between dance and music. It’s a study of the expressive potentiality of body and gesture, where the automata’s path crosses with the artist’s. It opens a view on an inconceivable scenery, on what lies between bodies and space, redefining it. Schönberg himself gives us a precious key to interpret this attempt: «When the form is in place everything within it can be pure feeling».
This performance is available in two different versions: a site-specific one with the audience sitting in a square around the scene and a theatrical version with the light design made by Gianni Staropoli.
