[ITA] Sullivan è il primo istruttore che incontra Jonathan, quello che mi colpisce della sua figura nel libro è l’umiltà con la quale guida i suoi allievi e la libertà con la quale lascia che Jonathan vada ad imparare  dal gabbiano più anziano. Libertà che abbatte ogni ego, e consapevolezza di essere sempre all’interno di un percorso di crescita, in ogni momento in ogni dove.

Questo duetto di libera composizione istantanea nasce dalla purezza del desiderio di danzare che ci appassiona e ci rappresenta. Dall’amore per le difficoltà che incontriamo e dal piacere nell’affrontarle. E’ un inno a questa libertà di pensiero ed azione che non trova spiegazioni audaci se non nell’amore per quest’arte.

L’occasione è quella di misurarci con i nostri saperi individuali, fonderli in una partitura istantanea che dia libero dialogo ai corpi sulla scena.

[ENG] Sullivan is the first instructor Jonathan meets, what strikes me about his figure in the book is the humility with which he guides his students and the freedom with which he lets Jonathan go to learn from the older seagull. Freedom that breaks down any ego, and awareness of always being within a path of growth, at all times everywhere.

This duet of free instantaneous composition is born from the purity of the desire to dance that we are passionate about and represent. From the love for the difficulties we encounter and the pleasure in facing them. It is a hymn to this freedom of thought and action that finds no bold explanation other than the love for this art.

The opportunity is to measure ourselves against our individual knowledge, to fuse it into an instantaneous score that gives free dialogue to the bodies on stage.
