Riccardo Buscarini
Riccardo Buscarini graduated from London Contemporary Dance School in 2009. He won The Place Prize 2013 with Athletes and took part in the international projects “ArtsCross London” 2013 (UK, Taiwan, China), “Performing Gender“ 2013-15 (Italy, Spain, Croatia, Netherlands) and “MAM-Maroc Artist Meeting” (Marrakech). His work in the visual arts includes collaborations with Summerhall (Edinburgh), London Festival of Architecture (2016 and 2019) and Nahmad Projects (London and miart 2017, Milan’s art fair).
Silk, his creation on Chelyabinsk Contemporary Dance Theatre (Russia) received two nominations for the Golden Mask 2018 at Bol’šoj Theatre, Moscow and will be restaged on Zfin Malta, the National Dance Company of Malta in late 2019.
In 2019 he worked as choreographer/assistant to director M° Italo Nunziata in La forza del destino by G. Verdi in Piacenza, Modena e Reggio Emilia and he signed two new creations, Nocturne on Chelyabinsk Contemporary Dance Theatre and Suite Escape on Compagnia Equilibrio Dinamico (Bari). He is one the recipients of the Berlin Opera Academy scholarship 2019.
