Manfredi Perego

With a background formation in martial arts and contemporary dance, in 2002 Manfredi Perego receives a scholarship for the Isola Danza Dance Academy directed by Carolyn Carlson and he obtained a degree in set design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna few years later. He continued his dance studies with some of the teachers he met at the Biennale, at the same time starting his professional activity as a freelance dancer in theatrical dance companies and contemporary dance in Switzerland and Germany. From 2010 to 2014 he worked for Simona Bertozzi, with Damian Munoz (Intrusa Danza, Spain) and other companies.
In 2013 he starts his personal research project on the movement focused on a primitive / poetic movement investigating the recovery of an instinctive movement. In 2014 he founded MP.ideograms and won the Equilibrio Prize – Roma with Grafiche del silenzio. In 2015 he debuted at the Equilibrio Festival with Dei crinali and he was selected with Horizon for Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore – Ravenna. In 2016 he participated at “VITA NOVA”, a project of Biennale Venezia with the first chapter of Primitiva, that continued in 2017 at Scenario Pubblico of Catania. In 2017 he won the GD’A – Giovane Danza D’Autore Prize.
He teaches in italian and foreign professional formations such as Balletto di Roma, Laban Trinity College and Austrian Youth Ballet.
Since 2017 he is guest teacher at the Balletto Teatro di Torino and, in the same year, he became associated artist at the Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Scenario Pubblico/CZD.
Since 2015 he is supported by TIR Danza.

In 2021 he is Associate Artist at Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Scenario Pubblico/CZD.
