FACTORY COMPAGNIA TRANSADRIATICA
Since 2009, Factory Compagnia Transadriatica has been involved in show productions, international
cooperation projects, theatre festivals, workshops and community theatre activities held in detention centers
or in disadvantaged social sectors. In 2011, the company debuts with Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream
featuring Italian and international actors and presented at the “Puglia in scena” festival, organized by the Elfo
Puccini Theatre of Milan. With Romeo and Juliet
, in 2012, the company starts its collaboration with the dramaturg
Francesco Niccolini. In the same year, this collaboration leads to the realisation of Cinderella
, an all-audiences
dance-theatre play co-produced by TIR Danza. The show has been performed in Edinburgh, Switzerland,
Spain and Tunisia and has been acclaimed by the audience and the critics.
In 2015, The Taming of the
, concluding the Shakespearean trilogy, has been presented during an intense national tour, listing,
among others, the India Theatre in Rome.
Together with the Principio Attivo Company, Factory Compagnia
Transadriatica resides in the Novoli Town Hall Theatre (Lecce, Puglia, Southern Italy), member of Assitej
Italy and of the “Distretto Produttivo della Puglia Creativa”, a social project that offers support to local
artists and creative initiatives.
